Ayere Attack:Hon.Taufiq Sue for Peace As He Lifts Curfew
The Chairman, Forum of Senior Special Assistants on Security and Senior Special Assistant on Security to the Governor of Kogi State, In charge of Ijumu Local Government, Hon.Taufiq has once again sue for peace among residents of Ayere community.
He made the call while addressing Olu of Ayere, Oba,Chiefs,community leaders,Security agencies in the local government secretariat at Iyara.
Recall,The wife of the chief imam was attacked and matheted to death,sometimes last month.
The Chief Security Officer, further assured the residents of government commitment to restoring peace and security in the local government.
He however, On behalf of the State Governor lifted the curfew placed on the community on August 21st,2020.
The Director of Local Government, Mr.Asaju J.O appreciates God Almighty for making us witness today and to thank the Chief security officer in ensuring the local government is safe from all forms of criminality, He also enjoined the people of Ayere community to continue to live in peace and harmony.
He urged the security agencies to continue to live up to expectations.
