Chieftaincy Installation: Olupo hails subject’s developmental efforts

The Olupo of Ajase-Ipo and Chairman of the Irepodun Traditional Council, Kwara State, Oba (Barr.) Ismail Muhammed Atoloye Alebiosu, has extolled the virtues and community-driven contributions of the National Social Secretary of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Chief Hammed Olaitan Aiyedun, at his installation as the Ba’Meto of Ajase-Ipo Kingdom.
Speaking at the colourful chieftaincy installation ceremony held in Ajase-Ipo, the revered monarch described Chief Aiyedun as a committed and worthy son of the community whose unwavering dedication to the growth and development of Ajase-Ipo earned him the prestigious traditional title.
According to the monarch, conferment of chieftaincy titles in Ajase-Ipo is strictly based on merit, commitment, and selfless service to the community rather than financial influence.
He added: “Conferment of chieftaincy titles on illustrious sons and daughters of Ajase-Ipo is not based on wealth or money, but on genuine commitment to the development of Ajase-Ipo town. I make bold to say that Hammed Olaitan Aiyedun truly deserves the title of Ba’meto bestowed on him.
“His commitment to developmental projects in Ajase-Ipo is unrivalled. He has served in various capacities and has remained steadfast in contributing meaningfully to the growth, peace, and progress of his hometown.”
The first-class monarch also commended the Kwara South Senatorial Aspirant, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi (ENACT), for his invaluable support and developmental contributions to Ajase-Ipo community.
Oba Alebiosu, who also doubles as Chairman of the Igbomina/Ekiti Traditional Council, used the occasion to appeal to sons and daughters of Ajase-Ipo, as well as well-meaning individuals, to continue supporting ongoing developmental projects in the ancient town through generous financial contributions.
Demonstrating leadership by example, the monarch donated the sum of N500,000 towards community development projects, while Olori Mistura Alebiosu supported the initiative with N250,000. Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi (ENACT) donated N2,000,000, while members of the Aroworowon family contributed N1,700,000.
Also present at the event was the National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Sir Bisi Fakayode, who led members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the socio-cultural organisation to the ceremony. Sir Fakayode made a personal donation of N100,000 to support developmental efforts in Ajase-Ipo.
Among dignitaries on the entourage of the National President were his immediate predecessor, Elder Gabriel Yemi Jimoh, the Vice President of the association, Chief Julius Aransiola, Life National Legal Adviser, Chief P.A.O Olorunnisola, SAN, Mrs. Adeyemi, alongside other notable personalities.
