Ogoriland lost a rare gem, Mourn Chief Mrs. Felicia A. Adurodija
The family of Adurodija of Ogori in Ogori-Magongo local government area of Kogi State has announced the death of their beloved mother, grandmother and the matriarch of the family, Chief Mrs. Felicia A. Adurodija who died in Ogori on Thursday.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Information Officer of the state Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr Odofin Rotimi in Lokoja on Thursday.
The statement said that Mama Adurodija, the mother of Mr Ebenezer Adurodija of the state ministry of information died in the early hours of Thursday after a brief illness.
According to the statement “With heavy hearts but total submission to the Will of Almighty God, we announce the passing unto glory of our dear mother Mama Chief Mrs Felicia Adurodija.
“The Late Matriarch was one of the daudu in Ebiraland. The Lord called Mama home at the early hours of today November 24th, 2020. May her loving soul rest in perfect peace” .
The statement described the deceased as a unifier and a passionate advocate for justice, love, and peaceful coexistence, adding that she would be missed by her family, Ogori community, Ebiraland and indeed the entire Kogi State.
The statement further revealed that Mrs. Adurodija was a devout Christian and community leader who devoted her life to the service of God and humanity.
She is survived by many children and grandchildren.
The statement noted that the family would soon release an official statement in respect of burial arrangement.
