*HUNTERS GROUP OF NIGERIA, KOGI CENTRAL, RECEIVES VEHICULAR AID*

At the Kogi State Government House today 29th January, 2021, the State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government – Commander Duro Jerry Omodara (Rtd) presented a Sienna vehicle to Kogi Central Hunters Group of Nigeria, on behalf of the young and vibrant Chief of Staff to the security conscious Governor of Kogi State Alh. Yahaya Bello, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku.

This gesture is to aide the demanding works of the hunters in delivery of prompt responses to the security challenges in the Central.

While presenting the vehicle, the State Security Adviser noted that before now, most of the forests in Kogi Central were taken over by bandits /criminals /kidnappers /terrorists but the emergence of the Executive Governor Alh. Yahaya Bello birthed stronger intelligence gathering coupled with absolute synergy among various security operatives that yielded and still yielding positive results in flushing out these criminals from their hideouts especially in Irepeni, Uro, Osara, Asuza, Adogo, and Abobo hills, rocks and forests. As well as Kabba – Obajana road and Oshokosho forest.

Commander Omodara opined that the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello was able to accomplish these security feats because the Governor understood the potency of engaging our own local ways of engaging hunters and vigilantes to work in synergy with other security agencies in the State.

He recalled that Kogi State Vigilante Service was passed into law as far back as 2012 but did not come on board until His Excellency came into power.

He appreciated the efforts of the hunters and their cooperation in making Kogi State a safe haven for all.

Commander Jerry charged the group to see this gesture of Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku as a means to further empower them to be more proactive in discharging their duties effectively.

On behalf of the group, Chief Aminu Sheidu of Zarigi Community appreciated Commander Duro Jerry Omodara (Rtd) for standing in for Pharm. Jamiu Asuku, and also pledged their commitment to continue to secure the lives and properties of the good people of Kogi Central and Kogi State at large.

Mallam Bature Yunusa – Leader and Assistant State Commander who received the keys to the vehicle, appreciated Pharm. Asuku for his kind gestures and also call on other meaning Kogites to assist the hunters /vigilantes in easing their job, while also providing them with information that can further assist them in tightening the security of the State.

Also present was Hon. Adam Kings, who is the coordinator of the group.
