Today, 6th of June 2024 marks exactly one year since I assumed the honour of representing the good people of Mopamuro at the Kogi State House of Assembly. It has been a profound journey filled with dedication and hard work, as I have taken on the responsibility of being your voice on the floor of the house, a responsibility I believe i have no reason to fail giving the necessary indices.
Throughout my first 365days as your representative, I have passionately and proactively advocated for motions and initiatives aimed at driving change and fostering development in our Constituency. My role as the Chairman of the House Committee on Budget Appropriations and Planning has allowed me to strategically influence policies that benefit and will still benefit our Constituency the more; ensuring that our resources are judiciously utilized for the betterment of all.
Though the starting might be rough but gradually and firmly we have found our foots. Therefore, I urge the good people of Mopamuro to remain steadfast and continue supporting our movement and the Government of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. We have begun to witness the dividends of democracy, and I assure you that there is much more to come.
The progress we have seen so far is just the beginning, and together, we can achieve even greater heights in the coming years.
Your support and belief in my leadership have been instrumental in the strides we are making. I am committed to maintaining transparent and accountable representation, and I renew my promise to work tirelessly for the prosperity and development of Mopamuro.
Thus far in my journey into the hallowed chamber of KGHA, i want to emphatically assure us that as soon as 2024 Appropriation Bill in no distance time gets funded by the State Government, my effort as your representative and Chairman Committee On Appropriation, Budget and planning shall find practical manifestation in our various communities in the area of infrastructural developments.
It is pertinent to note that, by reason of the mandate bestowed on me by you, I have been privileged to secure employment opportunity into various positions for the good people of qualified Mopamuro indigents. Not only that, I have been instrumental to securing admission into Tertiary institutions for our people and still counting.
More so, my involvement on the floor of the House as a legislator has largely informed the relocation of the College of Education Technical Mopa which has already commenced academic programmes , all to the credit of both the immediate past and present Governor of Kogi State- Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo respectively.
My love for the good people of Mopamuro LGA had come a long way as I continue to attend to my people’s hospital bills of varying costs both home and away. Stomach infrastructure appears to be the order of the day in this first year of my stewardship as well as School fees for our students in some Tertiary institutions to mention but few due to dwindling economy.
However, be rest assured that the second phase of my representation shall be more of physical capital projects as our pragmatic Governor has started on a good note and remains steadfast to better the lives of Kogites. My words continues to be my bond!
My profound gratitude to all the immediate past and present political appointees party faithfuls and all stakeholders for their relentless cooperation and collaboration with me as a legislator representing the good people of Mopamuro State Constituency.
Thank you for entrusting me with this significant role. Let us continue to collaborate and support one another as we pave the way for a brighter future for our Constituency.
