Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, has facilitated the distribution of the second batch of relief materials from MTN Foundation to orphanages in Kogi Central.
The provision of second batch of food items under the MTN Foundation (MTNF) Orphanage Support Initiative is part of the corporate social responsibility of the internet service provider in the country.
The MTN team led by Mrs. Paul Felicity of Exp Marketing Agency, handed over the relief materials to the orphanages at Darul-Arqam Okene.
Mrs Paul said the initiative is in furtherance of MTN’s mission to improve the quality of life of Nigerians through the support of orphaned and vulnerable children.
Among the items distributed are: Six bags of 50kg of rice, five gallons of vegetable oil (5ltrs), one gallon of palm oil (20ltrs), six cartons of milk (360g), six cartons of chocolate malt beverage (800g), five cartons of spaghetti, ten tubers of yam, one bag of garri (20kg), one carton of sugar, three cartons of maggi, six cartons of detergents, six cartons of washing bar soap, five cartons of medicated soap, and six cartons of disinfectant (liquid).
The orphanages that benefited from the scheme include: Darul-Arqam, MASWAJ Orphanage Foundation, RAAF Foundation, Orphans Friends Foundation, Oyiza Salem Divine Orphanage Home, Orphan’s Hope, Women of Grace Orphanage, and Steel Township Development Orphanage Home.
This is the second batch of relief materials facilitated by Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, with the first batch distributed on February 13.
