The kogi state economic council law has been passed by the state house of assembly.
The law which is geared towards boosting economic activities in the state was considered clause by clause at plenary on the floor of the house.
The law is to ensure the rapid economic development of the state provides that members of the council would be individuals with vast knowledge in economics and financial management.
Also passed into law were in there kogi state public audit bill and the kogi state local government audit bill.
The bills are aimed at strengthening the state and local government relationships with global financial institutions by ensuring globally accepted norms in auditing.
