SPECIAL PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
RAPID RESPOND REGISTER (RRR) FOR COVID-19 CASH TRANSFER- KOGI STATE:
In most parts of the world, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused many low income earners and small business owners to lose their income, pushing
many already vulnerable people deeper into poverty.
This is why the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster
Management and Social Development in partnership with the World Bank
is rolling out a Covid-19 Rapid Response Register in all 36 states and the
FCT to identify and support individuals and households in semi urban
areas whose livelihoods have been disrupted by the pandemic.
The affected individuals and households will be targeted in semi urban
wards and communities nationwide through Geographic satellite remote
sensing technology. Those dwelling in these selected communities will
then receive text messages with USSD codes that allow them to register
to be considered for the government’s assistance.
Once they are accepted into the Rapid Response Register and deemed
worthy of support, they will benefit from the Federal Government’s Covid-
19 *cash transfers* to ease their living conditions,
It is one of different projects designed to address the economic impact of
Covid-19 on low wage earners in the informal sector.
Kogites, don’t ignore USSD messages on your phone, respond accordingly
and get registered to qualify you for *Covid -19 Cash Transfer.*
This message is from the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office of the
Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social
Development in collaboration with Kogi State Government and SOCU/YESSO)
