
2023: Wemi Jones Optimistic of Massive Victory for APC, Eulogises GYB’s Pragmatic Leadership
The Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would win massively in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country.,
Jones told Newsmen on the sideline of the APC’s Ward Congress in Kabba, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, that the party has continue to wax stronger in the grassroots, State and National levels.
According to him, some Governors from the opposition have continued to join the ruling party as more are still expected soon, describing the development as an indication that APC is a popular party.
The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the machinery put in place for the conduct of the election, saying the exercise in the Area was seamless and peaceful.
The Education Commissioner said that the success recorded in the Congress in Kabba-Bunu, was an indication that the party is growing stronger in the Area, Kogi and Nigeria.
Jones added that the major opposition, People’s Democratic Party PDP has faded in the State.
He stressed that Kabba-Bunu APC complied in totality to the directive of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to return all caretaker executives, noting that the exercise was conducted in the council without rancor.
He commended the Governor for demonstrating pragmatic Leadership in piloting the affairs of the Party in Kogi, insisting that he had silenced the oppositions in the state.
