Hon. Egbunu hails Gov. Bello For Enlistment of Kogi as Oil producing State
The Lawmaker representing Ibaji State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Atule Egbunu has commended Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his effort that has translated into the State joining the leagues of oil producing State in Nigeria.
Hon. Egbunu also congratulate Hon. David Zacharias the lawmaker representing Ibaji, Idah, Igalamela-Odolu , Ofu and the entire people of Ibaji local government area for the laudable feat recorded for the council and the entire state.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday over the joyous and remarkable incident, the lawmaker described Governor Bello as a leader who set goals pursue his targets with logical conclusion.
“He has really demonstrated that in the struggle to make Kogi State as one of the oil producing State and today the State has finally by Grace of God achieved the desired result.
“We will continue to be grateful to Governor Yahaya Bello and other eminent Kogi people who have contributed in one way or the other right from the beginning to the conclusive end we have achieved” he said.
He noted that the aged long crises between Odeke community in Kogi and Aguleri in Anambra State over oil wells dispute that in the past had resulted in wanton destruction of properties and lost of lives has come to an end.
“We therefore commended His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello and His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari for the peaceful resolution of the dispute and enlightenment of Kogi as oil producing state” the lawmaker said.
