*Ogori/Magongo market women, youths receive Senator Oseni’s grants*
In another phase of his continuous empowerment scheme, Senator Yakubu Oseni representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has facilitated grants to market women and youths in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.
Senator Yakubu Oseni who had in many fora reiterated that no local government area of his constituency will be neglected in his constituency projects, appreciated the people of Ogori/Magongo for their abiding patience and prayers which he said has made him to succeed in his various legislative duties.
The lawmaker who is also the chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology/Cybercrime urged all the beneficiaries to take the token as seeds which when planted, could multiply in many folds.
While assuring them of more dividends of democracy in terms of infrastructure, the lawmaker enjoined the people to take adequate care of the skill acquisition centre, e-learning centre and boreholes which he had previously provided in the various communities of the local government area.
“I am not unaware of the economic hardship most of you encounter in your daily businesses. The importance of small scale business in the economy could be likened to oil that reduces friction. That is why I will continue to do my best to facilitate grant of this nature to my constituents particularly to ameliorate the present hardship in our country”, he said.
It is on record that since he became Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Yakubu Oseni has dared to be different in his empowerment schemes and programmes. Senator Oseni is more interested in building the future of women and youths through skill acquisition programme that have lasting impacts as against hedonistic materials that are ephemeral.
Also, the 600 capacity JAMB Computer Based Test (CBT) Examination Centre that he facilitated to his constituency has neared completion and will be commissioned in December.
