Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. – Malcolm X
The above postulation of Malcom X on education throws more light on the importance of education and how important it is to acquire such milestone.
It is on this premise that the NAKOSS NATIONAL President, Comr. Rachael Mojirola Balogun on behalf of the Association wishes to congratulatorily celebrate the feat achieved by the recently graduated 804 students of the Federal University, Lokoja.
The convocation which held yesterday in the parmanent campus, Felele, Lokoja had creme de la creme and great people from within and outside Kogi.
Reacting to the event, The NAKOSS President stated thus “There’s no way I could contain my joy especially seeing the massive academic strides that most of the students pulled. It indeed reflects the level of intelligence embedded in Kogi Students and Nigeria at large and also validates the fact that Kogi is headed to the right direction in terms of academics, a feat which the Governor Yahaya Bello administration should be lauded for.
And for the massive retouch and investment in Federal University Lokoja by the sitting Vice Chancellor, Prof Olayemi Akinwumi, it is a commendable project.
Worthy of special mention is the milestone recorded by the overall best graduating student who goes by the moniker Olajide Joshua Omajarabi from the Department of Statistics, with precise graduating Cumulative Grade Point Accumulation (CGPA) of 4.83 which outrightly placed him the best graduating student amongst the recently convocated 804 graduates of the noble institution.
“I send hearty congratulations to the best graduating student of the Federal University Lokoja in person of Olajide Joshua Omajarabi. It is such a herculean task to reach this milestone, the premise upon which I specially commend and celebrate him for the milestone he recently achieved. Sincerely, we take pride in such feats as this and on behalf of NAKOSS, I cease this opportunity to enjoin students under the coverage of this association worldwide to continue to project a good image of Kogi State wherever they find themselves and to take their studies seriously as there is a large room to contain everybody at the very top ladder of education”, said the President.
In conclusion, the President also send appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, teaching and non teaching staffs of the institution.
She also acknowledged and appreciate the State government for their support for education and to the entire school management for ensuring the safety of students and the people of Kogi state is a priority.
