Ogaminana, the headquarters of Adavi local government has been thrown into darkness following the vandalization of Abuja Electronic Distribution Company (AEDC) transformer at Utokuhua-Ogaminana. The people of Ogaminana Central community have been taken aback and perpetual hardship as social and economic activities have been crippled. In a meeting organized by the leadership of Ogaminana Central community with AEDC 
officers at Ogaminana, the central communities chairman, Mall. Ali Anabe frowned at the Palpatine situation and chided AEDC officials to sit up in the discharge of their duties. He expressed shock and sadness of the untold hardship the transformer vandals have caused the community. Mall. Ali Anabe then appealed to the AEDC authority to find means of replacing the damaged parts of the transformer. He again called on the people in the vicinity of transformer to rise up and vigilant to safeguard the transformer and he charged them to say something when they see unusual thing or movement not only around the transformer but throughout Ogamonana community. Addressing the people at the meeting, the AEDC Zonal Manager in Okene, Engineer Arudi, sympathized with the community on the unfortunate incident and chargedcAEDC officers to be more alive to their responsibilities. He maintained that his officers could not descend do low to vandalize their sole duty of maintenance and sustenance of transformers. He called for effective collaboration between the community and AEDC for effective service delivery and to replace the VANDALIZED transformer. In a remark, the AEDC officer incharge of Ogaminana, Mr. Ojo lamented the unfortunate incident and described it as a setback to him, Ogaminana town and AEDC. He called on the community leaders to organize further community meeting to find solution for quick restoration of electric light to Ogaminana town. It is to be noted that the VANDALIZED transformer has thrown Ogaminana town and surrounding areas such as Utokuhua-Eva, Utokuhua-uvete, Idatochi, Inorere, Idodere, Iruvoba, Idanupopuvete, Inapasi and Ozeanikava into darkness. A member of the community and chairman, Idatochi/Idanupppuvete community development association, Mr. Ezekiel M. Salami, appealed to well spirited individuals, government officials, businessmen and friends of the community to come to her aid financially.
