
The Federal Commissioner representing Kogi State at the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. AbdulAzeez Idris King has extended his gesture of borehole renovations to Demonstration Standard College in Onyukoko Ward, Okene local government area of the State.
The project which is going around the Kogi central senatorial district was aimed at ensuring that communities get portable water through the Renew Hope Boreholes Rehabilitation Project initiated by Hon. AbdulAzeez Idris King.
At Demonstration Standard College Onyukoko teachers and students were visibly delighted for the renovation of the moribund borehole.
One of the students Mohammed Yusuf Obansa in his remark , commended the initiator for the laudable project.
He said , the project when completed will end the long period of scarcity of water in Onyukoko community.
“For some years now our school despite the population of students and teachers we don’t have any source of water. The boreholes located within the Demonstration Standard College Onyukoko has not been serving us because the borehole which was the only source of water in the school was in bad condition.
“In fact we are happy when we saw some people working on the moribund borehole and when we asked questions we were told that Hon. AbdulAzeez Idris King in his usual magnanimity sent the engineers to repairs the borehole so that the acute scarcity of water in the school can be a thing of the past.
“I’m using this medium to thank the former House of Representative Member for this kind gesture. He has really put smile on our faces” he stated.
Another female student, Mariam Jimoh Ovayoza thank the initiator of the Renew Hope Boreholes Rehabilitation Project, saying the project would definitely serve the people of Kogi central senatorial district.
“We learnt that some local government areas have benefitted for the project. May God Almighty bless Hon. Abdulazeez Idris King. This is what we want our leaders to be doing in their constituency” she stated.
