Hon . Aderonke Aro Commends Gov. Bello’s swift response Leading to Restoration of Peace, Arrest of several Robbers After attack on Yagba West.
The Kogi State House of Assembly Member, Representing Yagba West State Constituency, Hon. Aderonke Aro, has sent a message of appreciation to Gov. Yahaya Bello for his swift reaction which led to bringing normalcy and the arrest of several armed robbers after the organised attacks on banks in Yagba West LGA.
The lawmaker expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident of Tuesday 14th December, when men of the underworld launched terrible robbery attacks on the First Bank, Access Bank and UBA Bank all in Egbe and Odo-Ere communities in Yagba West respectively, lamented the lost of lives, while several persons he noted sustained various degrees of injuries but are receiving attention.
The Lawmaker condoled with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident, prayed that God will grant the bereaved families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and for the souls of the deceased rest in peace.
He equally prayed for those who sustained injuries but are still receiving treatment in the hospitals to recuperate in the shortest possible time, thanked God for their lives.
Hon. Aro who was full of praises for Gov. Bello, commended and appreciated his quick, prompt intervention for making sure that the robbers were neutralized and others arrested.
He particularly praised Gov. Bello for deploying an Helicopter to Yagba West for surveillance and effective patrol of the entire area which ensured that the criminal elements were quickly fished out from their hiding places, described the action as a demonstration of love and the safety of the people of Yagba West LGA.
The Lawmaker pointed out that Gov. Bello’s leadership capacity, has once again justified his ability towards securing the country when elected as President in 2023, assurred that with Gov. Bello as President, the Country would witness all round peace and security.
Hon. Aro praised the hunters, vigilantes, the police, the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for immediately launching a manhunt that led to apprehending some of the robbers, lauded the synergy and quick responses as unprecedented.
The Lawmaker equally thanked the Commissioner of police, Kogi State command, the Military command, the Department of State Security, NSCDC command for rising to the occasion and in their support to the directives of Gov. Bello, described the working together as the synergy the country needs in fighting insecurity head long.
While thanking the people of Yagba West for their show of concern and encouragement during the unfortunate attacks, the lawmaker particularly praised APAPO OMO YAGBA,(AOY), and other critical stakeholders of the local government and Nigerian’s in general for rising up to the occassion as another indication that Gov. Bello is a unifier, a team leader, stressed that he has provided the right Leadership in moving the State forward.
He noted that the efforts to undermine the security architecture and various efforts of the Kogi State Government towards ensuring safety of lives and investment not only in Yagba West but the entire Kogi State, that was thwarted has by the action of Gov. Bello proven that the State remains the safest State in Nigeria, and that no efforts to undermine the collective will of the people would never be allowed.
The Member further thanked the Royal fathers and other traditional rulers, community leaders, critical stakeholders and all citizens for having abiding faith in the government Institutions during the unfortunate incident, urged them not to weiver in their support now and always.
Hon. Aro restated his resolve and commitment to making laws that would propel the economic progress, social stability peaceful coexistence, protection of lives and property of the citizens and residents of Yagba West, called on the good people of Yagba West to remain calm and work collectively with Government at all levels for the growth and development of the area.
While restating that security is a collective responsibilities of all, he solicited continued support of the people to security agencies, urged them to offer intelligence, information, encouraged them to work harmoniously with all levels of Government in making the State and the Local Government a safe haven.
