Towards complementing the efforts of the State Government and to reduce the suffering faced by the people, the Member Representing Ijumu State Constituency,
Hon. Olusola Kilani Olumo, has donated and handed over a borehole for the use of the people of Iyara, headquarters of Ijumu LGA.
Speaking with Newsmen, the lawmaker said he would continue to intervene in the critical areas of need of the people, described water as life, reasons why he remains committed to sinking more boreholes across the State Constituency.
He disclosed that he would in January and early next year handover one other of his completed boreholes to Gbede Community while work is ongoing to complete the one for Ijumu Oke, described potable water as very important for the health of the people.
Hon. Kilani commended the support of the people, restated his resolve to continue to make efforts that would improve on their well-being, pointing out that the welfare of the people remains a source of concern.
He pointed out that aside the boreholes he is sinking in the three districts of the Constituency, over the years, he said he has also provided other infrastructure that has impacted on the lives of the people.
Aside donating his three months salaries to the people as a relief during the heat of the Covid19 scourge, Hon. Kilani said he has over the years paid for JAMB and school fees for indigent Students’ of the Constituency.
Similarly, Hon Kilani about this same time last year also gave the obas refrigerators and a customized diary, said he would continue to work round the clock towards ensuring that all segments of the Constituency is not left out in his represention.
Hon. Kilani described the borehole projects as complimenting the efforts of Gov Yahaya Bello in alleviating the sufferings of the people, assurred of more dividends of democracy to the people of Ijumu State Constituency while representing their interest.
