NSCDC nabs man, 53, one other for allegedly raping minors in Kwara

Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDCl has arrested a 53-year-old block moulder, Michael Adebayo, for allegedly having canal knowledge of a 14-years-old girl, Abdul Fatai Hajarat, who happened to be the daughter of his close friend.
A statement by the spokesman of the NSCDC in the State, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, said the suspect committed the offence in his shop located at Ori Oke, Elekoyangan area of Ilorin, the state capital.
Hajarat was said to be hawking puff puff and used to carry the puff puff to the shop of Michael from where he lured her with N200 naira.
According to the suspect in his confessional statement, “the girl used to hawk puff puff which she usually brings to my shop and I took advantage of her naivety to lure her with N200 naira. I have done this on few occasions.”
In a related development, the NSCDC also paraded one Tajudeen Hammed, 31, a phone engineer who was also accused of forcefully sleeping with a 16-year-old girl, Isiaka Hawau.
NSCDC spokesman said the two rape cases have been transfered to the Command’s intelligence and investigation department for full scale investigations after which the suspects would be charged to court.
