

CHRISTMAS: KOGI EDUCATION COMMISSIONER FELICITATES WITH KOGITES; PREACHES PEACE, TOLERANCE
Lokoja, 25 December, 2021.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, IION, has felicitated with the good people of Kogi State as they join the rest of the world to celebrate the Christmas and the new year seasons.
The Commissioner enjoined Kogites especially Christians in the State to imbibe and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ by upholding his virtues and ideals.
According to him, Christmas is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ which is associated with love, joy, peace, tolerance and kindness to one another.
He enjoined the people to emulate the virtues of Christ by showing genuine love, peace, tolerance and respect for one another and to see the celebration as an avenue for rededication of their lives to service of humanity and nation building.
“Christmas signifies hope and salvation brought to the world in need of redemption.
”The world would be a better place if the values and virtues reflected by the holy birth of Christ, especially love for one another were practiced faithfully”.
He assured the people that the APC Government in the state under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, would continue to consolidate on its foundation of development and growth that successive generations can build on especially in education.
