Christmas: Pray for our country- Kogi Women Commissioner urges Nigerians

The Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba has called on Nigerians to pray for the peace and unity of this nation.

Buba, while felicitating with Governor Yahaya Bello and Christians on this year Christmas Celebration admonished Nigerians to emulate the virtues of Christ surrounding his birth.

She noted that this is a time for Nigerians to show love, and care for one another, stressing that, the unity of the country should be held sacrosanct by everyone irrespective of their religion, culture and political affiliation.

While noting that Jesus Christ is an embodiment of sacrificial love, she urged Christians to spread the love of Christ with others and especially the underprivileged near them.

According to her, Christmas signifies love and thanksgiving that a child was born to save the world from sins.

Her words” Am using this medium to felicitate with our digital Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and our Christian brothers and Sisters for marking another year for the birth of Jesus Christ. His birth brought salvation and peace to the world.

“I pray that as we mark this historic day, may we continue to witness the peace, love and progress in our great country. It is against this backdrop, am admonishing our beloved brothers and sisters to learn from the lessons of Jesus Christ who’s life on earth was a clear testimony of humility, kindness and total dedication to the will of almighty God”.
