

I’ll Abide By Party’s Decision: Kwara North APC Senatorial Aspirant

A frontline aspirant for the Senate seat of the Kwara North Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Taoheed Daud Toyin, has declared that he would abide by the decisions of the party ahead of the 2027 elections, while declaring his unalloyed loyalty to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Engr. Taoheed, an APC chieftain from the Moro Local Government Area, described AbdulRazaq as the undisputed leader of the party in Kwara State, lauding his leadership style, commitment to development, and sustenance of the party’s unity.
The aspirant, in a statement, said the governor has not relented in providing purposeful direction for the APC in the state through inclusive leadership and strategic governance initiatives, adding that his administration has also created business and economic opportunities that have contributed to the empowerment of residents across the state.
“As an aspirant in the Kwara North Senatorial race, I am fully committed to pursuing my ambition with dignity, wide consultations, and respect for internal party democracy,” he said.
Engr. Taoheed stressed that party discipline, loyalty, and respect for constituted authority remained essential to the continued success of the APC, pledging to align with the directives and outcomes of the party leadership concerning the senatorial contest.
He further reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor AbdulRazaq in his capacity as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Sarduna of Ilorin Emirate, describing him as a father figure whose leadership has strengthened political stability and progress in the state.
The aspirant also announced that he had purchased his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the Kwara North Senatorial seat under the APC.
According to him, the forms were endorsed by 120 bona fide APC members drawn from the five local government areas of the district.
Engr. Taoheed said the move signified his readiness to offer quality representation anchored on competence, experience, and capacity to deliver measurable results for the people of Kwara North.
He assured party members, supporters, and residents of the district of his commitment to pursuing a future driven by growth, stability, and shared prosperity.
