RECOGNITION AND SERVICE: DEPUTY SPEAKER RECEIVES HONOUR AT GIRINYA AWARD CEREMONY
On Sunday 31st May, 2026, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Gimbiya Mata of Girinya Kingdom, attended the 2nd Edition of the Prestigious Award Ceremony organized by the Girinya Chiefdom Traditional Council in Kogi Local Government Area.
The event brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, and distinguished sons and daughters of the Chiefdom to celebrate excellence, service, and outstanding contributions to community development. In her capacity as Gimbiya Mata of Girinya Kingdom, Rt. Hon. Egwaba presented awards to deserving recipients in recognition of their impactful contributions to the growth and progress of the Chiefdom and society.
The Deputy Speaker was also honoured with an award in recognition of her service, leadership, and commitment to community development. She expressed gratitude to the Ohinoyi of Girinya, HRH Muhammed Ganaguda Momoh, and the entire Girinya Chiefdom Traditional Council for the recognition, while reaffirming her commitment to supporting initiatives that foster unity, preserve cultural heritage, and promote sustainable development across communities.
