On this special day, I celebrate an extraordinary leader, globally renowned environmentalist, climate justice activist, climate poet, and best-selling author whose dedication to humanity and the environment continues to inspire generations.
I particularly remember the significant role you played in leading the Nigerian Civil Society Organisations (CSO) delegation to the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2009. I remain grateful for the privilege of being among the delegates you selected and for the opportunity to serve as your Personal Assistant throughout the program. It was an unforgettable experience that broadened my understanding of climate advocacy, leadership, and international engagement.
Your vision, mentorship, and commitment to environmental justice have left a lasting impact on many lives, including mine. Thank you for the opportunities, guidance, and confidence you have consistently extended to those around you.
