Cleric To Govt: Create Avenues To Grow Investments
* As Oluwole Foundation Empowers Over 125 People

The three tiers of government in Nigeria have again been charged to create veritable avenues that would encourage and grow investments in the country.
The Vice Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kwara State Chapter, Pastor Ademola Popoola, gave the charge on Sunday in Ilorin, the state capital, while fielding questions from journalists on the sidelines of the 2026 Oluwole Foundation empowerment programme held at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters.
Pastor Popoola, who is the Chairman of the Oluwole Foundation, advised the government to tackle insecurity head-on, and fast track the establishment of State Police to secure the lives and property of the citizenry.
The Cleric further urged the government to show more commitment to improvement on electricity supply to drive businesses and economies of the people and the nation at large.
He encouraged politicians to be more alive to their responsibilities in helping the people, as well as playing their part towards the development of the country and not to embezzle, saying they are elected for good governance as well as serve the people.
The Cleric charged the people, especially well-endowed individuals, to do something meaningful and positive to build good legacies they would be remembered for after death, especially by uplifting the less-privileged in the society.
The Foundation Chairman disclosed that the Foundation is rapidly expanding in its desire and drives to empower the people so as to reduce poverty to the barest minimum in the country.
In this 2026 edition of the Foundation’s empowerment programme, Pastor Popoola disclosed that over 125 people that cut across the 25 branches of the Church, apart from those in Ilesha, Osun State, and Arandun in the Irepidun local government area of Kwara State.
The Cleric explained that over N80 million had been expended on this year’s empowerment programme, saying that food items would also be given to Fathers as the World celebrated Father’s Day.
In his lecture, Pastor Albert Kolawole Ogunyemi emphasised the need for the people to assist one another, urging them to also value and develop on little things in their possession.
Pastor Ogunyemi also urged them to develop the ability to change, and be producers and not consumers always.
He also called on the people to cultivate the habit of saving, no matter how small, learn the law of increments and expansion and obey the instructions of the experts.
