AN ICONIC EDUCATIONAL ENTREPRENEUR
Every man born to this planet is born to a stage; but only a few receive the ovation, mention and reckoning of recognition of achievers. This may be so because only the few are ready to make and pay the prize for greatness. Some are born great and other attain greatness. Yet, those who attain greatness pass through a gridlock process of baking to making.
The above aptly describe the life of Engineer Adams Ododo who adds another year to his life today 10th February, 2022. The young Adams Ododo began life to stardom when his parents, Mallam Ododo Zubair and Mallama Ododo Hauwa enrolled him for educational pursuit at L.G.E.A Primary School I Ogaminana. He attended Comprehensive high school Itakpe for secondary education and came out in flying colours and later proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti where he obtained ND and HND in Civil Engineer at upper credits and later had his B.Sc in Physics from (ISCG University) Benin Republic and M.Sc as well. He is currently on Doctorate Degree in Physics. The visionary and enthusiastic Engr. Adams knows that success and creditability are not between but earned through hardwork, vision, professionalism and dedication to a worthy cause. This and many more made Engr. Adams to go into educational Entrepreneurship after his youth corps service at New Era Girls Secondary School Onitsha, Anambra State. With requisite exposure, Engr. Adams Ododo went to partnership with some tertiary institutions (both public and private) for consultancy services. The institutions of which his ingenuity brought to Kogi Central Senatorial District and beyond to update and upgrade the educational needs of our people include Upland College of Education, Ifira/Ipesi Akoko, Ikare City Polytechnic, Ikare-Akoko, Ekiti State University, ISCG University Benin Republic, Legacy Polytechnic and Prime Polytechnic. Today, to the glory of God, Engr. Adams Ododo is the first
– Child of Ebira Nation to be founder of private tertiary institution, The Ideal Polytechnic, Ohuepe-Okene, to contribute to learning, middle manpower training and societal transformation. It is no longer news that many people have benefitted from the largesse and conviction of this iconic educational entrepreneur and they are contributing meaningful to their families life, professions and societal development.
The achievements recorded in educational progress of Ebiraland cannot be divorced from the spirited individuals that have assisted him in his worthy cause in his educational entrepreneurship. On this note, the Proprietor, Management, Staff and Students of Ideal Polytechnic, Ohuepe-Okene wish to appreciate the steadfastness and contributions of Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti, Hon. Joseph Asuku Bello, Member, Federal House of Representatives Abuja and his predecessor, Hon. Kabiru Ajannah, Hon. Pharmacist Abdukarim Asuku Jamiu – Chief of Staff to Governor, Kogi State and the leadership of affiliated institutions for impacting positively on the education of our people and assistance to Engr. Adams Ododo.
With zeal, focus and determination, Engr. Adams is ready to do more to uplift mankind educationally but he is constrained with financial problem that is impeding his desire and worthy cause to better the lots of the people. As he celebrates another God given one year, Engr. Adams appeals to the well meaning Ebiras both at home and in Diaspora to kindly come to his aid to develop the permanent site of Ideal Polytechnic, Ohuepe in Okehi LGA.
The erudite philanthropist has working experiences spanning many years in teaching and consultancy services in some higher institutions in Nigeria.
Presently, Engr. Adams Ododo is a Part Time Lecturer in Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti in addition to the co-ordination of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti outreach centre in Upland College of Education Ifira/Ipesi Akoko, Ondo State.
He again, holds and doubles as the Deputy Register (Academics), and Head of Department (HOD) Sciences at the Legacy Polytechnic, Ikare.
As a grassroot mobilizer and pacesetter, Engr. Adams has taught in some Colleges in Kogi, Ekiti and Ondo States among whom are ECSS Ogaminana, GDSS Okunchi, Benfolarin College, Ado-Ekiti, Mikab College and GSSS Ogaminana.
We wish you many happy returns of fruitful years, wisdom and strength to continue your selfless services to better the lots of others and societal progress and development. It is left for us all to appreciate the young Engr. Adams for adding values to education at the grassroot.
