I AM IN FOR VICTORY
Democracy is in itself born out of the need for proper and popular representation. Proper and popular in the sense that with the right procedures followed, it guarantee legitimacy. It is in view of these that democracy provided the platform for candidates, regardless of their motives to contest while at the same time giving our electorate the opportunity to choose their leader using their voting power.
It is a knowledge of the fact that power lies with the electorate that prompted most politicians to mask their original motives of self-satisfaction with colourful speeches and daytime philanthropic gestures and this is why we have come out to say enough is enough! I have seen how the feelings of my people are being toyed with by some self seeking politicians year in year out, I have seen how the hope of my people are being raised during campaigns and dashed as soon as elections are won and lost, I have equally seen how people are beginning to lose Faith in the system because of the plethora of failed promises and this is what necessitated me to offer myself for genuine and selfless service to my people since we cannot continue to allow things to remain the way they are.
Let me quickly but most importantly state that my interest in occupying the Okene II House of Assembly seat come 2023 goes beyond just social media campaigns and discussions. It is a genuine struggle Born out of passion and determination to see to it that I contribute my quota towards alleviating the plight of my people and this struggle is thankfully gathering momentum already. I am glad that the All Progressive Congress which I belong is a party of equality and a party with concern for the people at the grassroot. I am equally glad that so far, I have the love and support of my people and so, regardless of my wheelchair, the race to occupy the seat of Okene II State Constituency is one I must see to the end and with the hope of victory!
