The popular and reknown leader of youths in kogi state, Hon. Jaiyeola Awojuola aka ‘Jasper’ has said the entire youth in kogi state are very ready to elect an experienced person who is an astute politician to fight poverty in the state.
Jasper said this while interracting with the youth groups in lokoja recently adding that the present Deputy Governor,Elder Edward Onoja is the people”s choice as the next Governor of kogi state,he stressed.
He said he has taken it upon himself to embark on sensitizing of the youths all over the state and to ensure the victory of Elder Edward Onoja in the next election in 2024.
According to him, ” No man owns himself to himself alone, but partly to himself, his family, his community and largely, to the society. I believe that when we call Edward Onoja to contest,he must yield to our call,and we all promise to continue to strive and give our best to ensure his victory,he said.
” As we all know, Edward is privileged and opportune to a very large extent to get some unusual exposure,he believe part of what God has been preparing him for is to join hands with other people in kogi to provide leadership that we need to lift our state out of poverty and despair and help take our beloved kogi state to a new level”.
Hon. Jasper, stressed further that its only the present Deputy Governor that is capable of fixing kogi state right,Edward will build on the tremendous achievements of his boss,Executive Governor of kogi state,Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Just recently, Elder Edward Onoja paid an unscheduled visit to some meaningful elders who are playing ayo,draft games along Baptist church road, gave some money and organised a competition for them which he also gave 100,000 naira to winners, 50,000 to second runners including motocycles.
” I believe these uncommon exposures have positioned him to be able to provide the kind of leadership that kogi needs in a peculiar time like this.
For a state that is young, a state, which is largely a very creative community with a lot of intelligentsia and very dynamic people but having poverty stare them in the face. We therefore required a future governor who understands the language of democracy and development. I also believe that it is important that such a governor to be and the administration is succeeded by not just anyhow but a well-focused successor who will not only protect the legacies of the current administration but build on such legacies and also help to take kogi to the next level that everyone is desirous of.
