A former PDP House of Representatives aspirant and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Captain Timi Iyela has weighed in on the winning chances and prospects of the 2023 Presidential candidate of the PDP.
Speaking about the turn-out at the Presidential campaign flag-off in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Monday, October 10; Captain Timi Iyela said the turn-out is a sign that Nigerians are indeed in a haste to return PDP back to power at the centre.
Furthermore, the founder of the Atiku Abubakar Network and Diaspora Representative of the Atiku Youth Wing said; “I am confident in the candidacy of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar and his recovery plan for Nigeria.
“Atiku is the only Presidential candidate at the moment with a plan. He has been there before when he was Vice President of Nigeria between 1999 and 2007. Many times he held fort for his then Principal, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, and he did excellently well.
“Till date, the Obasanjo/Atiku administration of 1999 to 2007 is still being referred to as the best administration Nigeria ever had since 1999. This is because the administration brought alot of reforms that set Nigeria on the path to greatness before APC happened to Nigeria in 2015 to make things worse for the nation.
“I am confident that, when Atiku becomes President, he will unify Nigeria, he will reverse the dwindling economy of our nation and improve the living standard of Nigerians. He will combat insecurity to a standstill. He will create jobs. He will promote local talents. He will turn around for good, the fortune of Nigeria and Nigerians.
“I am super-confident that Atiku is the President we need now to rescue Nigeria from the destructive hands of the APC-led administration and reset the country on the right path which is the path to greatness.”

The turn-out today was very impressive and exciting. Indeed, Akwa Ibom is PDP and I know the same will be the case with the rest States in Nigeria including the FCT as all Nigerians are in one resolve to vote in Atiku for President, come February 25, 2023,” Captain Timi Iyela further added.
