A Year ago, during my National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), I met this young man in his office to tender my propose Community Development Service Project C.D.S while he was a Special Adviser on Small and Medium scale enterprise SME’s to Kogi State Government. Even without giving me Kobo due to an unforseen circumstance to support the project, In him, I saw a radiant face of hope to the people of Lokoja. Little did I know the Man is more of an anointed Joseph for the epeople of Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency, and of course, an ideal young man of the Nigerian Dream. I found a golden principle of leadership in the inside of this gentleman. The forthrightness, sincerity, and down-to-earth qualities of a true servant are the best that described his real personality.
This man is called Hon Suleiman Danladi Aguye, a two time Special Adviser to Kogi state Government. My Knowledge of this man in the Kogi State Government while as an appointee is no doubt a Gendarme who kept and still bringing people closer to the government and uphold the sanctity of his principal.
Aguye to me is another visionary young leader whose life is a characteristic of the assertion that “leaders are born”, while others believe that ” leaders are made through dint of hard work”. He remains one of the rejuvenated appointee, a Dynamo, the shaker and mover of what is democratically good for the people of Kogi State while he was the SA on SME’s During his Einsteins days in office, he was known for its dedication in supporting educational and community development programs with his meager salary.
It’s best to say that the ability and the acumen of leadership in the former SA is a percipience to power who believe that “power” means changing bad to good and good to better in the APC concept of leadership, a party he is strongly loyal to and vowed allegiance to support and not to disappoint as his flagbearer.
The bravely and dexterous work of Aguye is still earning him a good reputation within the political class across Lokoja-Koto, earning the confidence of a brilliant prospective lawmaker from his fellow part faithfuls whose wisdom is helping in stabilizing the in-house political tempo of the party.
His seldous of hard work and the productive support and service to humanity he is giving to his people and at the grassroots and it’s goodies being enjoyed by over hundred of people around within and outside Lokoja-Koto. A seen promising prospective lawmaker to bridge the gap of leadership for the common man in Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency.
To any political class students, Hon Aguye is more than a member in the APC, his gained experience at the Party leadership of Lokoja is without limits compare to his contemporaries who are political office holders. The inbuilt and “worked your way” to leadership qualities in him makes him a Senior Special Adviser for two consecutive time’s. Looking back to 2015 while he was an aspirant to represent the people of Lokoja || constituency in the Kogi State Assembly which God has not destined have found him worthy, a noble son whose selfless services and servant service to humanity are never tiring, hence their voice of call to service was made to him. This is no doubt, a call from God in 2023, as it is commonly said” the voice of Men is the voice of God.” With this kind of Man, with this nature of a Man in Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency, he is a clear pointer of a great leader, a man that can change the story for good, in the interest of the Constituency and Nigerians.
With his experience, his honesty, and his God’s fearing attitude, the ‘Green Chamber’ will be seen as a stabilizer of democratic norms in the country. I believe Aguye will represent his constituency well, martialed out good and people’s oriented laws, he will not relegate the duties of the oversight function of lawmakers to the background, his distinguished colleagues will receive the support they need in checkmating all the excess of the executive. While I have fate in him that having him in the Assembly, it will add effort to the leadership strength which the people (electorate) will see as the hope to challenge the executive wherever necessary through constitutional bounds and backups.
Aguye is now seen as a trailblazer and a pathfinder that is helping in charting a new course of development for the people of Lokoja-Koto under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello. He believes in the national call, from Lokoja down to Koto to positively change the nasty stories of the state to a story of survivors and victors unto good works.
As a leader of APC Lokoja and former two time SA to the Kogi State Government, his experience is much and still counting as a unifier, sustainer, brazing up the standing pillars of democracy in the state
He is known as a man of peace and detribalized Nigerian that believes in the total unity of the country, a known philanthropist of local reputes whose attitudes to good works no know bounds, not minding who you are, your tribe or religion you profess before he can be of help.
A good custodian of the norms and values of his tradition, hence his love of Peace and the unity of Lokoja-Koto is top of his agenda. His likes are few, his types are rare, no wonder the master planner (God) is rising him higher, from unstoppable step to another step of Glory.
Yes! Who knows, Danladi Suleiman Aguye is a willing vessel God is preparing to use to take Lokoja-Koto, Nigeria to an enviable hight. The nation is waiting for this young, visionary, and dynamic intelligent man to the circle of national leaders.
He is a good man to watch in the growing up, going down the political swinging pendulum of Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency election. A star whose shining abilities are a future glory of the state. The horizon in the Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency with dominant colors of beauties is about to breakout.
