As part of ensuring effective and sustainable Management system for the giant Reference Hospital, Okene, built and equipped by Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SSG), Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D , has signed a Concession Agreement in a ceremony on behalf of the State Government with Zenith Medical & Kidney Centre (ZMKCL), Abuja in her Office on Wednesday, 07 December 2022.
The signed Concession Agreement is for the purpose of Operation and Management of the Reference Hospital Okene, Kogi State.
Speaking at the ceremony, the SSG praised the Governor for his vision and strength of character to build and equip a world class hospital in record time for the healthcare of the people of the State.
She said although the track record of Zenith Medical is not in doubt going by its first-rate healthcare deliveries, she however urged the management to live up to the yearnings and expectations of the Government and people of the State.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Usman Zakari who witnessed the Agreement said Zenith Medical was chosen after careful considerations of other interest for the Management of the State-of- the-art facility.
Speaking too, the MD/CEO ZMKCL, Abuja, Dr. Olatise Olalekan said the decision of the State Government to handover the Management of the Reference Hospital to a private driven sector is a standard practice world over.
He assured that the hospital will be well looked after to the glory of the Government and people of the State promising that it will commence service to the public in 10 days.
