The attention of the Executive Chairman, Dekina LGA / ALGON Secretary ,Kogi State, Hon. Prince Ishaq Shuaibu Okolo has been drawn to a malicious publication by some faceless groups on social media whose trademark is to promote fake news and to seek public attention even when they are not relevant in their immediate environment.
The so called faceless Igala Vanguard to the best of my knowledge are people who are jobless, arm- chair critics, instead of them to look for meaningful ways of helping themselves and the society, they have decided to constitute themselves as nuisance.
As we speak, these individuals have no traceable address anywhere in Igala land and we don’t deal with such persons with questionable characters, but since we are in political era, there is need to set the record straight for the unuspecting public who may be misinformed by their evil antics hence, there is the need to clarify and straighten the fact therein.
(1) As the elected executive chairman of Dekina LGA, along with my distinguished Hon. Councillors from the 12 electoral wards that make up the local government, the collective interest of the local government and its people are of paramount importance and dear to us.
(2) According to article one of the constitution and oath of office , I promised to discharge my duty with Fear of God without ill and affection with the promise to be fair to all.
(3) I have been discharging the task placed upon my shoulders to the best of my knowledge and ability from the day I was appointment as administrator and my excellent performance have led to my overwhelming victory as the executive chairman of the largest local government in Kogi State along with my councillors.
(4) It could be recalled that, during the PVCs registrations some time ago ,I and my council members mobilized the good people of the LGA to register for their PVCs, vehicles and other logistics arrangements were made available by the local government to ease the exercise under my leadership as the executive chairman of the local government.
(5) Where was the Igala Vanguard then ?
(6) What was their role to improve the enrolment of Igala sons and daughters ?
(7) As the Executive Chairman by God’s grace and the support from the good people of Dekina LGA and from a Royal family of Prince Ogohi Onu Anyigba, I have a responsibility to uphold the integrity of the royal family that flows in my blood and I will continue to uphold that prestige, respect to eternity inrespective of political office.
(8) It is discovered that , the growing acceptability of the developmental stride of my administration in the local government and GYB at the center is sending fears into the camp of the opposition thereby giving them sleepless nights and setting confusion into their midst.
(9) As a matter of fact,the PVCs collection is ongoing at various wards in the local government area and as a Chief Security Officer of the area , I’m yet to receive any report or complains from either INEC officials nor the citizens of the local government area as the exercise is going on smoothly.
(10) I want to appeal to the good people of Dekina local government area to go and collect their Pvcs peacefully and in accordance with electoral laws.
(11) I equally want the good people of Dekina Local Government Area and the general public to disregard the ignoble, malicious, and wicked write-up trending on social media from the so called faceless Igala vanguard.
(12) Long live Kogi State !
