JOSIAH, the Bible said, was eigth years old when he began to reign in Jerusalem (2chronicles 33vs34)! He did what was right in the sight of God, and he neither turn left nor right. His reign was characterized with great restoration of the Glory of GOD over Jerusalem. The bottom line for the whole reign nowas that the people enjoyed his reign.
It’s the same word of God that said, ” when the wicked rules, the people suffer, but when the righteous rules , the people enjoy”!
The LEKE-RIAN EPOCH as I choose to title this piece is to point out why ELDER LEKE ABEJIDE, the house member representating YAGBA federal constituency silence the fatuous era of representation where people are fooled to believe that the legislative arm of government is nothing but a talk shop where no impact can be made to the lives of people being represented.
Before now, we had the likes of Chief Samuel Aro playing a populist system of representations as ELDER LEKE ABEJIDE is presently doing with a beautiful razzmatazz of love for his people.
I found it really insidious , when some mischievous people try to demean his unusual achievement by comparing him with the likes of TJ Faniyi. The difference is damn too wide!
ELDER LEKE ABEJIDE, started paying WAEC school fees almost two years before his election in 2019. He started feeding and clothing the widows in YAGBA almost two years before his election in 2019. So where come the room for comparison with a person who shares scholarship to ten students per local government in which case , as member of the reps already.
Elder Leke Abejide empowerment schemes are far reaching and bold. The loudness is insurmountable. It cuts across party line and all nook and cranny of YAGBALAND. His scholarship schemes are being enjoyed by all shades of people regardless of tribe and party, and Free for all students in SSS3 , not restricted by numbers.
His employment drive for people of YAGBA descent are sumptuously documented. I was shock to hear recently that he provided jobs in the customs and excise for a lot of people, which includes children of top PDP brats in YAGBA. He is not the type that likes playing politics with those he has help otherwise table of controversy will long have been shattered.
The down trodden and the grassroots where the bulk of supporters presently sways, are bent in returning him for a second term and obviously, he will get it.
The Elites who paved way for him some years ago undermined his capacity. He learned the rope and held it tightly. They handed their structures to him and suddenly they, the ravenous elites realized too late that they have lost their hold on the masses they hitherto hoodwinked with insidious feedbacks. ELDER LEKE ABEJIDE, has won the masses heart with blossoming paybacks of political dividends.
This LEKE-RIAN EPOCH will last long and the end of it is far from being over. Leke Abejide, neither turn to the left nor to the right. He focused his vision to his ministry of divine representation of the common man.
