The Accountant General of Kogi State, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh has picked the All Progressives Congress ( APC) Kogi State governorship form for the office of the governor under the party.
Alhaji Jibrin who was represented by a group of like-minds, speaking through a former Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism ,Hon Ugbede Ebije ( Iron), the group decided to purchase nomination form for their choice of aspirant ,Alhaji Jibrin Momoh having tested him for the past seven years as the accountant general of Kogi State, an assignment he has handled passionatelly well.
Hon. Ugbede further stated that, he is an Igala man and he is supporting an Ebira man along with his group and when asked the rational behind his quest, he posited that , the Igala nation has occupied the seat for16 years as governor of Kogi State and that , for equity, justice and fairness and in the spirit of “EBIGO” he and others in his group across the state are supporting Alh. Jibrin Momoh to complete 16 years of unwritten law and to consolidate on governor Yahaya Bello’s giant strides in the state.
Other speakers from Kogi West, Central and East spoke passionately on their resolve to support the accountant general of Kogi state.
It could be recalled that, the governor of Kogi State Alh. Yahaya Bello recently promised that, one aspirant out of ten from his cabinet will succeed him and the accountant general Alh. Jibrin Momoh is among the ten that has work tirelessly in the new direction government of Alh. Yahaya Bello.
The 2023 governorship election is going to be interesting and captivating as not less than 13 aspirants have already picked their nomination forms for the race to Lugard House.
