It was celebration galore, penultimate Wednesday for an active member of the Kogi Central Think-Tank Forum, Hon. Bode Ogunmola
who won the election into the Kogi State House of Assembly, Ogori-Magongo Constituency .
The occasion drew many distinguished personalities from far and near.They include Heads of Service,former permanent secretaries, businessmen and politicians of Ebira and Ogori/Magongo extractions.
The members of the who gathered at theJAAF Block Industry,Lokongoma in Lokoja to celebrate Hon. Bode Ogunmola described the victory as well deserved.
The Chairman of the group, Comrade Haroun Opotu, said that the celebration of Hon. Bode Ogunmola was very necessary and well deserved, considering his past service unto his people.
He noted that the Forum decided to celebrate one of her own in recognition of his role in the Forum. He expressed the hope that the honour done to Bode Ogunmola would encourage him to do more for his people.
The Chairman also acknowledged Ogunmola’s contributions to the growth and progress of the Forum and urged other members to emulate him.
In his response, Hon. Ogunmola thanked the members for honouring him, and appreciated God for granting him victory.He appreciated God for giving him the grace to be of support to other people, “It is God that has allowed me to be alive to witnessed my victory. So, I thank Him for the grace”.
The House of Assembly-Elect further said the honour has clearly shown the importance of keeping good relationship and having a good heart towards other people.
He implored other groups in the state to remain committed and focused on things that would unite the State.He called on Political office holders to always think and strive for what they can do for their Constituents.
The Elders of the Forum, Adai Stephen Yakubu and Chief Moses Onivehu prayed for quality representation from Hon. Bode Ogunmola.
