The House Of Assembly Member Elect, Mopamuro State Constituency, Hon Sam Olawumi Jacob visited Kogi State Internal Revenue Services to familiarise with his former boss, Alh. Saliu Sule Enehe and other colleagues after emerging the winners of the State House of Assembly election.
The Chairman of the Service while expressing joy over the success of the election noted that he never entertain fear for the victory because of his (Hon Olawumi) untainted character and dedication to duty while working with KGIRS, this he said speaks volume in the course of the electioneering campaign for him.
In the same light, the lawmaker ascribed his victory at the poll to God and His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for given him the enabling environment to test his popularity. He saluted the Chairman for his kindness and words of encouragement during and after bowing out of the office.
KGIRS is a major pillar for Economic growth for the State and under your leadership, you have further and commendably reposition the Service to international standard, Hon Olawumi submitted.
However, my presence today is largely to discuss and synergies on way to increase the Internally Generated Revenue for the State. We shall form a robust partnership with the Service as legislators which will be friendly with the citizens as well as jerking up the IGR, Hon Jacob added.
Hon Olawumi appreciated his colleagues who were of assistance in one way or the other towards the success of the election.
