Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in kogi State, a sociopolitical pressure group known as Kogi Diaspora Vanguard for Good Governance, today unveiled campaign and mobilization office operations centre for the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Elder Hon. Joseph Leke Abejide, as part of their activities to galvanize overwhelming support for the ADC candidate at the polls.
The ADC governorship candidate and member of House of Representatives Hon. Leke Abejide who was ably represented by Hon. J.O. Abel-Ontop urge members of the group to form a formidable front in the governorship race.
Ontop asked everyone to ignore insinuations that Leke Abejide is not contesting, added that he is the most serious candidate and he will be the winner of the race
He reiterated that Leke Abejide’s governorship project is beyond a particular group of people from a particular tribe and/or religion, that it is a Kogi Rescue Mission project.
The coordinator of the group Engr Omoniyi Sunday Abayomi in his speech at the occasion said “This office is just a contact point for all our members and supporters from across the globe, both in Europe, America and within African countries including the 36 States of Nigeria.
He added that the office Is going to serve as the Cardinal point for reaching out to our timid supporters and lovers of good Governance in kogi State.
Engr Abayomi further said ” A number of our members, patrons and financials are going to be working with us behind the scenes while this wonderful office shall be our operations centre for the purpose of Mobilizing maximum support and votes Hon Leke Abejide Governorship ambition in the forthcoming governorship election In kogi State.
Also making his remarks at the event the secretary of the group Comrade Daniel Temitope Olufemi Omoeleyin urge members present to see the initial stage of the project as a time to make sacrifice for the good of the state saying better days are ahead
Other speakers at the occasion including Mallam L.M Musa , Reverend Dr Folashade spoke on the need for absolute commitment and dedications by members of the group towards ensuring overwhelming votes for Hon Leke Abejide during the election
