Coalition of Youths and women under the Aegis of ‘Renewed Vision For New Direction’ Powered By Hon. Simeon Balogun, Yesterday Tuesday converged to evolve workable strategies for the success of the Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Over 100,000 youths and women took over major streets and roads in Lokoja, the kogi State capital in a one million man match that lasted over eight hours.
The convener, Hon. Simeon Balogun said his group is a campaign organization working for the actualization of Ahmed Usman Ododo and Joel Oyibo ticket for governor of Kogi state in the forthcoming election.
According to him, ” Our singular aim is to promote APC as the only worthy and the most popular political party in kogi state by propagating the gospel of Ododo/Oyibo candidacy.
” As part of our strategies, we decided to organize one million man mega rally for Ahmed Ododo to show our full support for APC candidate, Ododo/Oyibo ” he said.
While making his address at the rally, The Governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo promised to run an open government by giving everyone good sense of belonging when elected, stating that Governor Yahaya Bello brought them together as sons of nobody to become what they are today, Calling on all Kogites to join with the Governor for the betterment of the State.

Hon. Balogun who had earlier said the forum have a membership strength of over 200,000(two hundred thousand people) across the 21 local government areas of Kogi State with more than 100 registered grassroots campaign organization under our umbrella that are working day and night to ensure victory in the coming election”.
” Our strength is grassroots mobilization and we are here to show it, this one million man match is the first of its kind and it will go down in history as the beginning of our victory”.
Hon. Balogun used the occasion to appreciate the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the state chairman of APC, Hon. Abdullahi Dollar for their role by given the choice of Ahmed Usman Ododo as the Governorship candidate of APC
He also used the opportunity to thanked all leaders and members of APC for their contributions to the sustenance of the party.
