

Adavi mourns the transitions of Ogaguwa of Upopuvete
. The people of Adavi local government have been thrown into mourning following the transition of Ogaguwa Of Upopuvete (Apasi) clan, HRH Abdulmalik Ochenika Abdulrahem . HRH Abdulmalik Ochenika Abdulrahem joined his ancestors last night in a brief illness at Idanupopuvete area, Ogaminana.
He was appointed as traditional ruler by Adavi local government in 2015 following recommendation by Adavi traditional council. The departed royal father was a popular traditionist in Adavi LGA and a household name as Taru Marlboro in Ogaminana and its urban fields. The traditional ruler during his Life time had worked in many places and served as Store supervisor with Dumez construction company in Abuja and Lagos before he answered the call of his to be appointed as the first Ogaguwa of Upopuvete (Apasi) clan in Adavi LGA. During the condolence visit to the palace of Ogaguwa of Upopuvete, the Chairman of Adavi local government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami expressed shock on the sudden transition of the traditional ruler and prayed to God to grant him eternal rest as he condoled Adavi people and told the bereaved clan members to observe all traditional rites for him in peace. In a release by the Head of department, Education and Social Services in Ajaokuta LGA , the elder brother of demised Ogaguwa of Upopuvete, Mr. Isah Adeku (AKA Busy) and Secretary to Adavi traditional council- Mall. Yakubi Isah Beida described the transition of the traditional ruler as a big loss to Upopuvete (OZI APASI) clan, Adavi people, Ebiras and kogi state at large.
