As the 2023 general election draws nearer, the candidate under the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC) Hon.Chief Hilary Edime Amodu has promised adequate representation if elected.
Hon.Chief Hilary made the statement while addressing the press after the successful governorship election in Osun State . He stated that the outcome of the election shows that , power has truly returned to the people and he urged voters to make adequate use of it and avoid the temptations of vote buying and selling and gone are the bad old days when election results would be known before the commencement of the exercise.
He commended the good efforts of Independent National Electorial Commission (INEC) and the Nigeria Police Force for the transparent and peaceful nature of the election .
He called on the good people of Kogi East Senatorial District to come out in en mass and get registered as the PVC is the weapon to vote leaders of their choice.
He emphasised that,as a grass root politician who had lived with the people for over 30 years ,he knows the challanges of his people and if elected,he promised to use his good will and connections to legislate on laws that will bring rapid development to his constituency.
He equally advised eligible voters not to be intimidated by any one as AfricanDemocratic Congress ( ADC) is set to rescue power from top to the bottom.
Hon. Hilary Amodu stated further that, the era of inadequate representation will be over if elected into the red chamber of the national assembly and urged the people to come out and get registered and ensure their votes are protected and counted
