The Caretaker Chairman of Ajaokuta LGA, Hon. Haruna Aliyu Ogido has called on the people of the area to join hands and support his administration for effective service delivery.
Hon. Haruna Ogido made the call while addressing the people of Ajaokuta during the swearing-In of Secretary to the Local Government and Supervisors at Council Secretariat, Adogo.
He charged the Secretary and Supervisors not to betray the trust and confidence bestowed on them to continue and consolidate the delivery of democratic dividend of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello at the grassroot.
The Chairman then appreciated the complimentary role of the Governor – Elect, H.E., Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman for better Kogi State under Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello administration.
He charged the appointees to be effective and efficient in the task of administering the Local Government to the admiration of all.
The Council Boss commend the member, Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for his magnanimity and considering him worthy to serve in the present capacity and promised not to disappoint in the task ahead.
Speaking, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman for Ajaokuta LGA, Mall. Ahmed Yusuf (Super) applauded the State Government for the appointment of the Council Committee and urged the people to support the team to succeed.
He reminded the Caretaker Chairman to carry the Party along in the scheme of things to better the lots of Ajaokuta people. The Party Chairman maintained that the Party Executive will work with the Chairman closely in his quest to serve Ajaokuta people well.
Goodwill messages were delivered from APC Chieftains from across the three districts – Ajaokuta, Ebiya and Eganyi where they pledged their unalloyed support to the caretaker committee.
In the closing remark, the Director of Local Government, Mall. Salihu Eku Musa welcome the new political appointees and commended the State Government for injecting new political leaders at the Local Government level.
He assured Management Staff’s co-operation to the new administration in its task to serve Ajaokuta people conscientiously.
