The people of Ajaokuta LGA have been urged to pray for the success government at all levels for better service delivery. The DLG in Ajaokuta LGA, Mall Salihu Eku Musa stated this while addressing the people of the council during the flag off distribution of palliative goods donated by Kogi State Government.
He commended the Governor of the State, H. O. Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello for the provision off of the food items (rice) to reduce the hunger and improve the socio-economic as well as welfare and well being of the people.
Mall. Salihu Musa then called on the APC Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders and Canvassers to handle the distribution and make sure it gets to the targeted people. He reminded them to be above board and allow the sharing of the food item to get to be nooks and crannies of their wards irrespective of party affiliation.
The Ajaokuta DLG stated that the Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders and Canvassers should give feedback of the exercise to the Government and assured that Government at Federal, State and Local levels will continue to accord people’s welfare top priority.
Addressing the people, the S.A on Commerce and Industries to the Governor, Hon. Ibrahim Ahovi said this first phase of palliative is the invitation of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello Administration to cushion the effects of hunger and economic hardship in the State.
He stated, it is the state measure to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration to reduce the suffering of the people.
Hon. Ibrahim Ahovi there upon Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders and APC Canvassers to do a good job as any compliant will be treated as saboteur to the present administration effort to impact positively on the life of the people.
In their remarks, the APC Ward Chairman for Upake Ward, Suberu Aliyu and Women Leader, Onyijimoh Salawu appreciated the gesture of the State Government and appealed to other Ward Chairmen to be exemplary in the distribution of the food items in their various wards.
Performing the vote of thanks the Treasurer to Ajaokuta LGA, Mallam Abdulraheem Abdulsalam appreciated God and Governor of Kogi State for the donation. He reminded those entrusted to handle the distribution of palliative at ward level to do a thorough job devoid of complaints and favourism.
Mall Abdulraheem Abdulsalami reminded Ajaokuta APC Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders and Canvassers to always be their brother’s keeper in whatever they do for the peace and progress of Ajaokuta LGA.
