***Ijumu Local Government Area Witnesses a Remarkable Union Gathering
In a bid to rally support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer in the forthcoming Governorship election in Kogi State, Usman Ododo, a delegation of State appointees led by the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Adewale Omofaiye with DLG, SLG and Treasurer of Ijumu LGA Council hosted a grand event attended by the heads of several influential Unions. The gathering, which took place in Ijumu Local Government Area, saw the commissioner and his fellow government appointees articulate compelling reasons why Ododo deserves to be the next governor of the state.
The presence of Union heads from prominent bodies such as the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), Medical Health Association, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), and the Association of Private School Health Officials of Nigeria (AOPSHON) lent credibility and significance to this gathering.
