Appeal Court Victory; Kogi Deputy Speaker Congratulate Yahaya Bello, Edward Onoja
From Lokoja – The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed have congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, H.E Chief Edward Onoja on the Appeal Court judgment in Abuja which affirmed his emergence as the governor of Kogi State.
Describing the Unanimous judgement as a true reflection of the wishes of the people of the state, especially those at the grassroots, the Deputy Speaker appreciated the judiciary for rising up to its solemn responsibility of ensuring that justice prevails, stressing that the judgment was a clear indication that the third arm of government is the last hope of the common man.
His words; “Today’s judgement at the Court of Appeal against the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Engr. Musa Wada, Natasha Akpoti of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Action Peoples Party, (APP), Democratic Peoples’ Party (DPP) is a clear indication that Governor Yahaya Bello remains the duly elected Governor of the state. I wish to call on opposition parties to drop their difference in the interest of the state and join hands with our visionary governor to move Kogi state forward. Our governor as a man of peace is ever ready and willing to accommodate all shades of interests in line with his administration’s New Direction Agenda.
