Barrister Charvid Commiserates with the People of Ijumu,Isanlu,Okun and Kogi State
A foremost political icon and a philanthropist, Barrister David Shola Ayedogbon (Charvid) has commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives in an armed robbery attack on Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State last Thursday evening.
In a condolence message,Barrister Charvid expressed shock at the tragic incident and prayed that God will grant the victims eternal rest while giving their families the strength to cope with the irreparable loss. Barrister Charvid urged the bereaved to take heart and prayed God console them. Almighty God gives life and takes it without questioning.
Barrister Charvid regretted the rising disregard for human lives and insisted that only a multi-level policing could secure the state adequately.
According to him, Life is a gift from God,and if God were to withdraw his breath from humans, they would perish. Since life belongs to God,human do not have absolute autonomy over their own lives but are stewards of the life given to them by God. The lives of all humans both their own and others are to be cherished and guarded. The value of human life is intrinsic ,for it derives from God,who made human beings in his own image. He further described armed robbers that killed over ten persons in the town as heartless. It was not a calamity to the ancient and peaceful town of Yagba East alone, but also Ijumu Local Government where two of the Nigerian police came from,Kogi State and the whole nation.

Barrister David Shola Ayedogbon (Charvid),
