Chief Salisu Irukere urges IMANE Sons and Daughters to contribute to community development, Commissions roundabout for community.

A community philanthropist and traditional herbalist known within and outside Kogi State, Chief Dr. Aduh Salisu – Baba IFA Irukere AYA Orunmila, a native of IMANE in Olamaboro LGA has urged sons and daughters of the community within and outside KOGI State, to be involved in the development of the community.

Baba IFA made the call on Saturday in his hometown IMANE Etèke during the commissioning of roundabout, which he built for his community.

According to Chief Irukere, “a lot can be achieved in the development of our communities if individuals blessed by God give back to the society. There is no way a government can provide for all the needs of the people but, just a little sacrifice by individuals or group of friends to development of the communities can make a lot of difference in the life of the people,” he said.

He said giving back to his community with the little resources he had, was borne out of love for his people and as an indigine who grew up in the village, understands the terrain. He further noted that, the roundabout was as a result of him fulfilling his promise to the youths, who he had agreement with before the State Gubernatorial election to work assidously for APC GYB/CEDO. He urged the youths to always be law-abiding and be useful to themselves and their families.

The project, which was commissioned by the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Prince Tijani Dauda. While appreciating Chief Irukere for his philanthropic gesture to his people, which of recent also paid WAEC/NECO/JAMB fees of about fifteen (15) indigines of IMANE community, he urge him not to relent as the reward is from God.

Chief Irukere Baba IFA was later presented as an icon of development and selfless service to humanity by Ankpa Federal Axis Students.
