The Director of local government in Idah local government, Mr. Musa Ali has charged members of the Council Environmental Sanitation Committee to embark on advocacy visit to sensitize the people on the importance of Environmental Sanitation and general cleanliness. Mr. Musa Ali gave the charge in a maiden meeting with the members of the committee in his office at Idah. He urged the Committee members to adequately enlighten and educate the people on the needs for good personal hygiene, avoid use of impure water, poor cooking of foodstuff, keeping of clean and tidy environment to wade off rats and reptiles from our homes and surrounding. Idah DLG said proper hand washing and care of thevbody save the people from contacting endemic diseases like lassa fever and corona virus. Mr. Musa Ali reminded the committee members to take the Sanitation campaign to the makers, churches, mosques and schools to create more awareness to be people of the area. He called on Local government Environmental Officer, Mrs. Jumai Isah to ensure that sensitization gets to nooks and crannies of Idah LGA before the first environmental Sanitation exercise in kogi state scheduled to hold on 28 March, 2020.The council DLG who is also the Chairman of the committee promised to provide necessary logistic to enable them perform and achieve desired result of clean Idah LGA. Speaking, the local government Environmental officer, Mrs. Jumai Isah said the members will work as a team in the task ahead. She called on all Gagus in Idah local government to assist the government to disseminate the information to their people for better Idah local government. Mrs. Jumai Idah maintained that they were prepared and ready to participate fully in the forthcoming kogi state environmental Sanitation day of 28th March, 2020. Information Office, Idah LGA.
