The Chairmanship aspirant for Ofu Local Government Area , Yunusa A. Yunusa has urged the people of Ofu Local Government Area and Kogi State at large to comply with government directive on the dreaded Corona Virus to guarantee their health.
Speaking to newsmen on the imperative of the order, Yunusa A Yunusa noted that only the living could go about normal life hence the need for the people to adhere strictly to the stay at home order.
The Chairmanship hopeful who is coming under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC ) said the ban on public gathering such as religious and social gatherings was appropriate since prevention is better than cure.
Yunusa A Yunusa admonished the people of Ofu and Kogi State at large to take all precautionary measures such as avoiding crowd, regular washing of hands and use of sanitizer among others to curtail the spread of the virus.
The Chairmanship hopeful acknowledged the efforts of the state government over the pandemic and thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for taking proactive position .
He expressed optimism that with the efforts of the state government so far , it will be difficult for the state to record any case of Corona Virus.
Yunusa A. Yunusa however enjoined the committee already put in place on the pandemic to ensure adequate sensitization in all rural communities to ensure that the people are aware of the virus with a view to abiding by the precautionary measures.
While appealing for continued prayers against the dreaded disease, the chairmanship aspirant assured that he will contribute his quota to ensure that the virus does not raise its urgly head among his people
