He is one politician who does not hesitate to ventilate his opinion whenever those in his political camp began to derail.
As monitored during his briefing on his defection, I’m convinced beyond any iota of doubt, that, Idris A Lokoja is a true democrat whose main reason for being in the opposition is to pressure any government in power to perform. This is a healthy politics as it holds political leaders to accountability.
His political stand before, during and after 2019 elections has never changed. He vehemently opposed the candidature of Governor Yahaya Bello. But Idris is indeed, a man enough to come out publicly and apologize for his wrong thoughts on Governor Bello and to acknowledge the laudable achievements so far recorded by his Administration.
Hon Idris Lokoja has taught our political class the true philosophy of ‘Opposition Politics’. This should be imbibed by all and sundry.
On the other hand, His Excellency, Governor Bello in his unique leadership attributes, has been magnanimous even in victory. He never turned back to look at those castigating him but carried along anyone wishing to see the development of Kogi state to an enviable height. Those who were opposing him from tribal or primordial angles are now silenced and made to swallow the bitter pills of envy in them. The rapid development of Kogi in just 6 years is just enough reason for any objective opposition to join hands with him.
And we may not forget to admit the genuine efforts of Alh. Abdul Dollars the APC state chairman and Hon Bature Maikudi in reconciling party stalwarts in Lokoja and beyond. Idris Lokoja has now proven his diplomatic worth even when he does not hold any political office. We must also point out clearly that, one’s mastery of the art of deception, lies and betrayal is not what makes him a politician. It is even surprising that, somebody who is in government but keep complaining that he does not get anything, yet, does not have the honour to resign. What an ingrate
The Ward E gentleman politician, who is agile, have set the pace for us and upcoming generation politicians to follow for the betterment of all of us. Idris Lokoja has laid the solid example of opposition politics and our amiable Governor exhibited the qualities of a true, compassionate and selfless leadership.
The smooth road to 2023 by the PDP is becoming immotorable to those that want to challenge the fresh air
