Eid-el-Maulud: Senator Oseni celebrates with Muslims, calls for unity of Nigeria
As Muslims worldwide celebrate this year Eid-el-Maulud, Senator Yakubu Oseni representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has called for sincere prayer for peaceful coexistence and unity of the nation.
Senator Oseni who made the call today in a congratulatory message to his constituents noted that the season which marked the birth of Prophet Muhammed (Peace be unto Him) ought to bring about sober reflections on individual’s contributions towards nation building.
While also commending his constituents and Nigerians in general for their abiding faith and quest for development of the nation despite multiple challenges, Senator Oseni expressed optimism that Nigeria would soon weather the global storm that affect nations of the world.
“I enjoin you all to abide the teachings and deeds of our Prophet whose birth we are celebrating. We are in a holy week where everything about us need to be checked in order to obtain favour from Almighty Allah (SWT). Let the lessons of this week have lasting impact on us.
“Endeavour to pray for stability of our nation and eschew acts that could lead to breakdown of law and orders. Our Holy Prophet is a symbol of orderliness and we should emulate Him in all our engagements”, he advised.
Senator Oseni further admonished Nigerians to deepen their respect for their leaders at all levels in order to have a rancour-free society where all round development is guaranteed.
