ELD-El-FITR: KOGI EDUCATION COMMISSIONER FELICITATES WITH MUSLIMS

The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, has felicitated with Muslim Faithfuls in the state as they joined Muslims world over on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-fitr which marks the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Commissioner congratulated Muslim faithfuls in the state who successfully performed the the fasting period this year in fulfilment of a key injunction of their faith.

He also urged Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of commitment, dedication, peace and obedience to higher authority inherent in the tenets of Islam.

He stressed that Kogi State will make quicker progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials as a State if its citizens foster peace, security and stability.

“Kogi will make quicker progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials as a State if its people foster peace, security and stability which are essential for development by showing greater respect for public order laws,” he said.

Affirming the Gov. Bello Administration’s commitment to upholding the welfare, and security of life and property of the people at all times, the Commissioner assured that the State Government would continue to do all it could to improve the living conditions of Kogites at all levels.

He, therefore urged muslims to use the occasion to strengthen the unity, peace and progress of Kogi, and co-operate with Government towards the attainment of the collective objective of a greater State.
