RE: BELLO CAN BECOME PRESIDENT
Our attention has been drawn to a broadcast message circulating around about students bursary and such message tends to allege and discredit government officials as manipulated by some selfish individual.
We therefore distance ourselves from such article and urge the general public to disregard.
Firstly, we must reiterate that the Student body remains the only umbrella that bridges the gap between the student populace and agencies, parastatas and government and any agitations, request or complaint of the students must be channelled via the Association.
Secondly, it will interest the general public to know that the immediate past president of Nakoss who served in the year 2020 isn’t worthy of one who could be allowed to take any leadership position, to this regard, we tagged him “A Mistake In Nakoss”
On the 27th of June, 2021 the supposed leader of the prestigious Association invaded the National Secretariat in lokoja, kogi state along side his hoodlums and gunmen, disrupted the peacful senate meeting, caterd away with Senators phones, money and valuable properties, and attempted of rape on the female senators.
This sole act was totally condemned and reported to the security agencies immediately, this made the supposed student leader flee from the state for some months till the time this article was published.
Election of new executives to pilot the affairs of the association was conducted on the 12th of August, 2021 which brought about the new and present administration.
However, the run-away supposed student leader out of his guilty conscience alleged the incumbency of threat reason behind his refusal to conduct inueguration and handing over.
On the 28th of August, 2021, the new executives was Inuegurated as suggested with the approval of the immediate past Senate president who was the convention chairman as instructed by the Association Constitution.
However, students should note that the properties catered away by the former president has not be returned till this very moment, this had left the bereaved students hopeless and bittered and has decided to take actions on the supposed student leader.
In order not to allowed such scenario or give room for retaliation haven made a report to the necessary security agencies and to allow the law has it way in conflict resolution and for the dignity of the student Secretariat where use to be a safe place for students (before the uncultured and devilish act of a supposed student leader,) but turned to battle field where gunmen have their way for operation as led by the former president.
The new president put up a chat and series of phone calls to the supposed past leader of the association, requesting him to handover the association properties at his possession which she stated clearly.
“I wouldn’t want you to be harmed, (due to his unaccepted attitude, inhumane and uncalled for,) kindly make available the location of the association properties, and I shall go there with my executives to pick it”
This statement didn’t justify the past president myopic thought to propel his shallow broadcast about his safety, but to show the spirit of sportsmanship and in order to avoid any act of retaliation from the bereaved senators who some are part of the present administration.
Further more, the Nakoss National Executives and the Legislative Arm are fully aware of the state of things and we want say this with all boldness without any iota of fear or dispute that we have never make any return to any government officials or appointee either in cash or in gift, but rather government officials make available students needs and gave advise when consulted.
We received our monthly stipends in due time (Kudos to His Excellency) and accurately disbursed within the students communities “only”, across the state.
Kindly disregard any claim from any individual, who embezzled the students money, open fire on them and catered away with their belongings now looking for where to hide is shameless act of robbery.
I Rachael Mojirola Balogun, the Global President of Nakoss National, unbehalf of the entire student of kogi state appreciate the Executive governor of Kogi state for his effort put towards students through his Chief of staff and all special advisers on students matters.
We therefore urge the students and the general public to disregard any demeaning broadcast from any selfish individual.
Any complaints not channel through the incumbency should be disregarded and seen as an act of impersonation which is a punishable offense.
On this note, the entire students of Kogi state give the immediate past president the ultimatum of 2weeks (14days) to handover all the association properties at his possession and to also tender an open apology to the Commissioner for Education and all appointees for misleading the public.
